I have a small offshore boat on a lift in Grand Isle. Storm comes, I go get it.
No way in any way shape or form I would leave a boat in a coastal area during a named storm.
A parking lot away from the coast is a MUCH better option if nothing else.
Example- we also have a place on the MS coast- no lift, storm comes, if a boat is there, I tow it out of harm’s way.
I begged my neighbor to let me take his boat and jetskis once- would have been three trips for me, but neighbor was active duty and super cool. “Nah man, they’ll be ok”
Little kiss my arse Cat 1 passes, it looked like his Blue Wave tried to make babies with the two Ski Doos. Water came up, boat and skis float, but not the trailers- they were all tangled up the next day. Bay boat was hung sideways on the starboard trailer guide post by the gunnel.
