Put a hot water hose bib out there, start with hot water and itll help.

They both burn at approximately the same temperature, but natural gas is delivered at about 0.25 psi but you are basically right in that with high pressure propane, you can deliver many, many times the amount of fuel and, as a result, many times the heat.

Bayou classic double jet burner. Swap out the regulator for a needle valve and you're good to go
