Yep, no problem. My kennel (Red Stick Retrievers)is in Prairieville so bring that puppy by and I'll help get you started. Puppy training can make a HUGE difference in how well your dog progresses and finishes out. kjshunter@aol.com

Mine is pretty worthless, but he's the luckiest dog I know.
-Showed up at our house one day, we decided to adopt him.
-Been hit by a car twice. Had the head of his femur removed on his back hip.
-Been sprayed by a skunk well over 30 times to date.
-Been in a fight with a rabid skunk once, had to quarantine him for 45 days. Luckily a guy driving down the road pulled out his rifle and somehow shot only the skunk.
-Had bone cancer. Vet gave him two months. That was about 10 years ago.
-Has had many surgeries to help with his colon. His hips have caused it to twist. Surgeries are now free because he's basically a test case.
This is him when he was considerably younger... He's been roughed up a bit now...

There is also Pontchartrain HRC in New Orleans. We meet and train mostly at the spillway. However we have been doing some training on the northshore lately also.
Amite River is also a great club. They are very active and I have a bunch of very good friends in the club.
