Yea you can knock GM for some things but their motors are not one of them.

It's only been around for something like 12 years.

And the 5.7 before that is legendary.

He knows all about the 5.7

I have owned one as well, will eventually own one again.

Yea but it isn't the motor that the 5.3 is. 150k+ miles from a 350 is pretty rare while 5.3's are everywhere over 200k
Hell my truck ate a motor at 90k

I have no complaints about mine.
I went from the 4.3, to the 5.7, to the 6.6 Duramax, to the 5.3 then back to the Duramax.

I guess you could say I'm a GM guy.
It's gonna be hard to support Government Motors though when it comes time for the next one.

Yall buy those things all you want. I've owned Chevy pickups before. Had them as work trucks.
They were perfectly fine.
But I'll never put another dime into them since all those dimes were taken from me against my will to bail them out.
Sorry. You want to go all Stockholm Syndrome with GM, I can't stop you. But I wish I could. They should rot on the vine and be sold for parts for what they did.

You'll get no argument from me there.
My next vehicle will either be a yota or a ford

The one I'm driving now is a 2008 so it happened before the government bailout. That's why it would be tough for me to buy another one even though all mine have been great trucks. And it damn sure hasn't been because I've taken good care of them.

Not getting rid of my Chevy though.
It's still American to me.

Mine will be a ford bc I want a 3/4 ton. Before Obama bailed gm and Chrysler out, I would've said I wanted a ram 3/4 ton.
