We're about 2 miles south of you then. We had a really good year all the way through the end . The whole last week was really good . Guys just to the north of us said they had a horrible year. Go figure.

My lease is in Roanoke and we did pretty great. All the other groups around did well also. Spoke with a wildlife agent at the big gas station there and was told the area of southwest Louisiana had the largest concentration of blue winged teal in the state and possibly the nation during those weeks. Are you going with a guide service? Make sure your using plenty of decoys and try not to call as much. Normally they will spot you before you can see them. Good luck!

Yep with a guide, not that I need one. Over 45 years duck hunting.

can someone recommend a guide in around SWLa for a teal hunt. I'm sure most are booked, but I'm most likely going to be solo since all my friends will be changing kids diapers.

Anyone looking to fill a spot? Have boat/bike, will travel.

I don't know who the guide I'm using. My daughter booked the trip. I will find out later today and post the name.
