What functionality of a fluted barrel are you referencing?
Misposted. I meant to say fluted bolt* not barrel

I have shite a Tika3x now for 3-4 yrs. 7mm-08. I love the gun and am very happy with my purchase. Gun shoots well and is well made. Only small issue I have is that the safety will not engage to on if the bolt isn’t perfectly closed. . I guess that is a good thing though. I love having synthetic and stainless where I deer high and it is light enough and easy enough for grandkids and wife to shoot. I’ve killed 250 lb hogs with it even though it’s best in whitetails

One thing I realized after over thinking it for a long time, I don’t really care if a rifle is threaded since I’m not gonna suppress my deer rifle, or shoot something so big it needs a brake. Just a thought.
I would look hard at putting that extra for the veil on a new stock, peakfortyfour inlets for theT3x and is gonna bring the weight down another 3/4lb, with better ergonomics. Something lower recoil like 7mm-08, .243, etc with a lighter 3-9x40 about 6.5lbs scoped would be a damn fine deer catcher.

$800 stocks. LOL
I truly doubt 99% of us on here would feel the benefits vs cost on this

So don’t buy one. The OP was willing to pay for nicer features, and a carbon fiber stock is a common aftermarket upgrade. 99% of people would be able to feel the difference when a rifle with no scope weighs more than one that does. $800 doesn’t buy shite on guns today, except a stainless tikka.

While I’d like to do this, I can’t much find a Camo patterned carbon stock that I like for whatever reason

I’m not a fan of the flat bill themes most of them come in either, but they can be painted like anything else. CF is for the weight and sound reduction, and having the forend be rigid enough to keep the barrel floated.
Cabela’s sells a version of the stainless superlite with a camo stock, but it’s gonna run higher than you can get the same gun in black.
