If you're looking for a gun that will handle anything you can throw at it, lighter than the 870 and priced extremely well look into the Escort 20ga. I bought my son one and I liked it so much I just got myself one last week. $341 with a lifetime warranty from buds guns.

I actually went with the youth auto. Short barrel light as a feather and it comes with 3 plates you can put behind the butt pad to make the stock normal size. They do take remchokes also. With an Indian creek and some #9 TSS i watched my buddy roll a turkey at 52 yds like he shot it with a rifle.

I'll probably end up doing this. While clicking through Bud's I noticed the Stoeger Uplander sxs. It's only around $450, tempted as all hell. I shot my first rabbit with my uncle's Parker Brothers 16 gauge.

I have both the Winchester SXP and a mint condition BPS both have not been shot. They have 26 and 28 “ barrels. Checked everywhere’s for shorter barrels for them and can’t find them. The Winchester is camo and I can’t find a matching barrel in that pattern

I’m in the market for a youth or compact 870 in 20ga.
Still one of my most fun guns to shoot. The little riot tammer.
