I think deer will eventually get used to whatever you use. I've used regular rice bran for about 5 years with good success and tried a couple of flavors last year because that's all I could find...when I switched they avoided the flavored bran at first but eventually ate it. The regular is usually cheaper so I just stick with that.

This has been my experience. They seem to know what corn is right away but when something is new like flavored rice bran or protein, it takes them a few weeks to get used to it.

I put 200 pounds of corn, 50 pounds of ric bran and 50 pounds of flavored rice bran out Saturday afternoon.

100% gone by Monday evening - I’ll use corn until the first freeze then I’ll use some rice bran again to try to lure out the older boys.

I just use pellet form rice bran in a normal feeder. no issues. sometimes I mix with corn some times I don't. It's more resistant to a light rain than the powder form always caking up on the ground and rotting.
