I'm the same way. If I get stung I need to go to the closest ER or Urgent Care to get a shot, and still ill be out for a few days, like if I had the flu. The last time I got stung the doc told me that if I got stung multiple times it could get dicey for me.

Got stung in the eye brow one time. The next day I went into work looking like I got into a bar fight.

About 10 years ago I went from being able to ignore them to being allergic. Swell up. Headaches. Felt awful. Walked outside one morning before work and got popped 5 times in the back of the neck.
Instant migraine, felt like shite for 36 hours. But now... Back to it not hurting at all. No swelling.
It has caused me to be dismissive. And Im sure it's gonna go back to swelling and feel like shite one of these days.

I went thru the same thing. Bad reaction on one sting, and then no reaction the next time getting popped five times in the knee. Had my prescribed epi-pen ready in case.

When I get popped, I stop what I’m doing and make it a point to kill as many of them as I can find. Not sure they grasp the totality of the situation, but it sure as hell makes me feel better.

I wage a continuous and unrelenting war on them in the summer. I will go out of my way to hunt down a single wasp flying around away from the nest.
