I have a Surefire RC2. It’s not the lightest or the quietest but it’s built like a tank. I run it on my MK18 clone with 10.5” barrel. I love the mounting system. Never had an issue with it. Probably put 4k rds through it.

what I said was the overwhelming general rule. I have barrels that don’t fit into what I said. I doubt the OP has anything weird.
