We had a 7.7 and a 6.3. Biggest 5 went 23.8.
Ended with 13 fish, 8 keepers.
My buddy kicked my arse today I'm not gonna lie. I broke off on a big one right before dark, knot failure.
Caught all but one in 8-15 foot of water. 10 feet seemed to be the magic number.
Carolina rigged brush hogs in the morning and speed craws in the afternoon.
6 pounder was caught on a deep diving yellow/orange crank bait.
Fished Patroon, Piney Point, Lanans, Slaughter and south of Carrice. Most fish were closer to the bridge.
Ended with 13 fish, 8 keepers.

My buddies kid ate every bag of chips before throwing his first cast then talked about food all day. I think he fished 15 minutes and slept the rest.

Naw, war bird is in the nest.
I ran over something nasty this morning headed to nascars pad.
Got back to my truck tonight and his labs had been lickin" my truck for 13 hours,, it stunk to high heaven.
I took it to car wash tonight to wash off the funk. Went outside to garage a few minutes ago and nearly started gaggin',, it's still stankin', moving it outside.

We only put 4 fish in the boat today. We were snakebit big time. Had a 5 pounder break my line first thing in the mornin, then the same line broke again right as my buddy netted the next fish (a six pounder). I put that rod up and didn't throw it again.
We ended up with 16.06 in our tourney with those four. We had some nice fish. We each lost a three plus pounder flipping bushes. Had 22 or 23 pounds hooked and just couldn't get em in the boat.
Only two we took pictures of. The first one is 5.96 on the tournament scales. Picture doesn't do justice to just how fat that fish was.
