Pay the money. Dogs are better than most people and you'll more than likely regret it if you put her down. She's young, so she'll have time to heal and regain some health. I've seen instances where dogs have healed from much worse.

That applies to people who can't afford food and regular shots, etc. Not every dog owner is faced with a $2500 problem on a daily basis.
