Single shot .410. Still have it.



ETA: It's a 3rd Generation gun - the etching is so worn, I'm not sure what brand.

Dad got it for me for my 11th b-day. He did the same thing for both my brothers as well. The only stipulation was you had to go out in the back yard and shoot a 3" buckshot to prove you were big enough to handle the gun. That thing laid a lick on my little 11 year old arse.

Remington model 6 rolling block .22 that was my grandpas. It will be Jacobs first gun.

Got grandpas Newport 16 guage crack barrel that same year.

I think the first "of my own" was a Westernfield, bolt action 410 from Monkey Wards in about 60?

First real gun was a single shot .22 bolt action. I have no idea on the make/model. I still have it. Great little plinker

Marlin model 60 was my second gun.

New England Firearms .410, I still have it. My first "real" gun was a really old Browning Superposed that had been cut down by the previous owner, it's still my go-to dove gun
