Stay stock. Get some BFG KOs if you want a more aggressive look.

good buddy did this to his F150 4x4. Rides a hell of a lot better actually and like you said, much easier to use daily.

All my trucks I have only done a level kit with 1 size bigger tires. All I ever needed.

Factory.

Don't get a lift. I've had a lifted truck before, been around many of them. It sucks, and the height doesn't really matter. Once you start modifying that shite it's never as good as factory ever again. You'll be driving a creaky worn out shitbox before you know it and you'll have paid money to have it done to you.

My truck is something like 7' tall bone stock and comes with 33" tires. You used to need a 6" lift to fit 33" tires on a truck. Modern trucks are huge and tall and have an assload of ground clearance. Just leave it as is and get some wooly booger mud tires. Way cheaper and way less dumb.

I know. Lifts look cool but in reality offer nothing if you aren't rock crawling or jumping headlands. Towing with a lifted truck is awful. Getting in and out of them sucks. Putting bigger tires hurts fuel mileage and accelerates wear on everything. Even a level kit is dumb. Aftermarket parts have shite QC, very little design validation done, poor support and availability. It just all around sucks. Don't do it. Don't spent money building a brodozer, hurting the resale value usability and reliability of a perfectly good truck. For louisiana flatland use, you aren't gaining much off road performance without super swampers anyway and you don't need a lift for those. I've had TSL's on a factory height 2500 before and THAT is a substantial difference. Normal "mud tires" regardless of size are barely if any better off road than factory all terrains. They do wear out way faster and make more noise though!

Disclaimer- if said vehicle is a 2nd vehicle or already a worn out shitbox then whatever, go for it. D

I have a 2” leveling kit and have 285/75R/17. It’s a good height for my Duramax. I put 35K-40K/year on my truck so I go through tires. I usually go with Toyo ATIIs but they have gotten insanely expensive. This last set are Copper Discovery I think AT3s I lucked into getting an huge discount on, but they are a lot louder than the Toyos.

2" on a truck & 3" for a Jeep. 33s on truck and 35's on Jeep.
