You already know the answer....
Money. Campaign contributions.
We the people need to vote for better congressional representation.

And this is why incumbents lose midterms, they don't do what the people voted for. Then they run on the same issues the next time around.

On top of that, over the last 6 years we've had a minimum 5 senate seats stolen and have once again a RINO as majority leader.

Yep. It is simple, most of our elected representatives would not be in their positions if elections were legit. Katie Britt from Alabama is a perfect example.

Can you expand on this?

The irony, our president just liberated a "third world country" from a dictator that stole the last election...............yet we cant get a fair vote in the US.

Need 60 votes, dont have them.

You do realize the 60 vote filibuster nonsense makes it virtually impossible for anything to get done in the senate other than massive spending bills which conveniently dont need the 60 votes. (and supreme court nominees but that is few and far between).

And somehow, but for a brief moment in the last several decades, no party has had 60 seats. Its as if elections were designed that way.

But who put this nonsense in place to begin with.....ah the ole bi partisan vote of the senate.

Then that must be the direction to take as we head to November 2026. We must be able to get 60 votes!!

Never going to happen.

I don’t think it would be out of pocket to overthrow our government if they don’t put better voter id in place.

Their reasoning for not doing it is not good enough for me.

The filibuster rule doesn’t make sense because we already have safeguards in place, the House, the presidency, and the Supreme Court. If voters choose to let one party control both branches of government, both parts of Congress, and the laws they pass are deemed constitutional by the Supreme Court, then they should be allowed to govern. Otherwise, we’ll never be able to make real changes.
