You said you are pro life.

Every point I've seen her make is about inconvenience.

Seems she's just "pro-convenience".

You are correct

Which is why I've always said right-authoritarians scare me more than left-authoritarians. They both suck, but one is scarier to me.

Now do you understand why I stopped supporting RDS when he started up with this craziness with his bills in Florida?

You can consider abortion immoral and still desire a different political policy

You can think that people are going to hell who have an abortion with the day after pill and still think the law should permit abortions until 12 weeks, thinking anyone who does get one is going to hell.

As a Catholic? Hell no you can't

At the end of the day, the ultimate point to discuss is whether or not the pre-born child is a living human being worthy of the right to life.

No, the ultimate point is when the cells become a "pre-born child"

But, I expect you to rely on this again when discussing that issue:

Sounds like you don't want dialogue but just to express your viewpoint.

You're going to "express your viewpoint" with inflexibility

Or, you know, implantation. Which already happens naturally 30-50% of the time with fertilized eggs (aka, conception)

That is my point of said phrasing.

An implanted fetus in the uterus is where life begins.

There are no exceptions at that point

Many of the extreme pro-lifers will disagree.

I’d respect her more if she’d just say she’s pro choice.

I have seen this repeatedly in this thread.

One thing I really loved about the Trump revolution was the religious right was effectively sidelined and conservatives were hammering home winning messages that could resonate......but here we are again, they just can't help themselves. Literally the worst candidate in recent years following on from the biggest disaster of an administration in modern times....yet we are trailing or neck and neck at best and this is a big reason why.

Just a heads up, the fetal development period starts at the 9th week.

Pretty sure it's just a zygote when it implants in the uterus.

Still, I'm with you, implantation is where I think a new human comes into existence.

Because. See my previous comment.

Morality influences politics...particularly in America.

The embarrassment of 2022 also stings, all due to abortion.

I think abortion is murder. But, my opinion doesn’t matter because it’s the woman who decides. There needs to be a definitive answer of when is a fetus considered a living thing. If we consider death when the heart stops beating, then we should consider life beginning when the heart is beating.

An uneducated stance.

An ectopic pregnancy will never become a life and without intervention will kill a mother.

Fertilized eggs pass through without ever becoming life and there is no outside intervention to cause that. That isn’t murder.

Once implantation occurs in the uterus it takes miscarriage (a tragedy) or active intervention to prevent those cells from being born

The point is to separate the 2. My comments don't just apply to abortion.

But that still doesn't answer my question about what being Catholic has to do with anything.

You're free to be a Catholic and think any abortion after conception (or hell, even using Birth Control in the first place) is immoral, but it's not intellectual inconsistent for the same person to not desire those things to be made illegal by your government.
