The only thing surprising to me is that so much of the factual points has already been made public.
I used the word factual, becuase a lot of the article is in fact, factual.
Notwithstanding personal thoughts on Russiagate, anyone defending any of this really baffles me.

That's open-and-shut to me. The FBI (or at least a select few agents in it) using the agency to further their political agenda were already prepared to use unsubstantiated materials to obtain a FISA warrant in the hopes they could throw the election.
