Yeah, I started to post about how she's not that bad but not ideal, but I ultimately just don't really care.
They're all influencers, few of any major accomplishment or substance. And in fairness, most politicians have been for a long time, it's just that the vapid nature is far more brazen and the citizens care and expect far less. We demand they yell and make scenes and entertain, crush them when they can't accomplish the position we demanded they take, and then vote them in again.
Even when you think of our smarter legislators - Cruz, Rand, whatever...compare how they talk and engage social media against JD Vance. It's just no contest. Vance will get more substance into a single tweet than Cruz will get into the hours of podcasting or whatever he does weekly, and I mostly like Cruz.
And I admit that Vance is probably playing a part too in some ways, he's just way ahead of the curve on it in an era where our most distinguished statesmen are begging for clicks.
