I'm going to guess they don't have any Masons in their think tank, since they are declaring it eeeevil. I'll say it again for you, since I may not have been talking to you before. The one Mason that I know was an unequivocally brilliant man, and an unequivocally devout, Godly Christian, who loved Jesus.
They are declaring it contrary to good Bible doctrine which isn't hard when you compare Mason doctrines with Bible doctrine. I don't have to let a Muslim run our church to know that their doctrine is heresy.
How much your friend's specific club adhere's to the doctrines is irrelevant to the actual doctrines. I went to church with a guy who wore his mason hat and had his ring and drove a car with the bumper sticker. The pastor knew he was a mason and that it was contrary to the church's code of conduct and still allowed it. Doesn't mean it wasn't wrong.

Well the Catholic church leaders covered up pedophilia globally so give me some Masonry any day over those sheisters.

In fact the Catholic Church is IMO the biggest heretic organization in the world for their sins. They have no place and no say in what I do in a fraternal organization. Why are they so secretive about works housed in the Vatican?

If you're waiting on me to argue with you, it's going to be a while.

Thank you for an excellent post and doctrines of Masonry that conflict with the doctrines of God.
The following pair of bullet points in particular should be troubling to anyone who considers himself/herself to be a true "Christian":
7. Masonry makes Christians take a universalist approach in their prayers, demanding a “generic” name be used so as not to offend non-believers who are Masonic “brothers”.
8. By swearing the Masonic oath and participating in the doctrines of the Lodge, Christians are perpetuating a false gospel to other Lodge members, who look only to Masonry’s plan of salvation to get to heaven. By their very membership in such a syncretistic type organization, they have severely compromised their witnessing as Christians.
Again -- for those who may not be Christians, the above and following doesn't matter. However, if there are those who DO consider themselves "Christian", please beware; On Judgement Day the Lord Himself warns that He will NOT be so understanding of compromising on their Faith and in His Word; Understand what is at stake (your Eternal-"Immortal" soul):
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16).

TO ALL:
Here is a great flick that has rarely aired after 1970. Not a dull moment. It starred Glenn Ford as well as several other well-known actors at the time like Dean Jagger and William Conrad.
The Brotherhood Of The Bell (1970) Movie
Right out of the gate the movie opens with a mysterious and brief ceremonial initiation into a fictional "Secret Society" (called, "The Brotherhood of the Bell"). The main "perk" of the Bell was said to be a system and membership that "assisted" in helping create successful careers, wealth, and status. BUT with a rather large catch; it demanded absolute and utter loyalty.
Ford's role is as an important, established University Professor living the life with beautiful wife and home.
The story is top-notch and suspenseful with unexpected, frantic twists & turns (plus checking out the era's cars were cool). A HIGHLY recommended and entertaining watch, especially given the subject thread.

Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye?

Thanks for the update. Did you take an Oath?
No. I have not been accepted into the ranks of Freemasons yet. The Grand Lodge of NC must first approve my petition.

If you reject Freemasonry as satanic and against god, then you must also reject the values of the men this nation was founded upon. Otherwise you are committing a sin against god.

Moreover, hypocrisy is rebellion against God, with a pretense of being righteous. Hypocrisy not only insults God, but it is a sin which must always be punished. Isaiah 1:11-20

I was baptised at 15 and am just as saved now as then. No lodge or organization can take that away.
I spoke with my pastor before petitioning the lodge. He was a long time member and guess what, a Dr. of Theology.

You'll need it, but not in this life.
I suppose I am double doomed because I sit through some business meetings and put out a few house fires.

I'll take their word over the crap I see on the web.
So, my father and grandfather says to tell you that you are wrong.

Can't we move this over to the Off Topic board?
Posted on 1/27/22 at 3:52 pm to Redbone
I think we have a bunch of folks who just take whatever the Catholic church and its dogma says as gospel, the church and all its hierarchy and bureaucracy being infallible and all....
