When AOC gets elected President on proposing implementation of the Green New Deal, we have much bigger problems than her potential to declare "National Emergencies."

Don't you get it, he got exactly what he wanted. He got the funds to continue building the wall until the court process ends up at the USSC, where he will win and have the authority to build the rest of the wall without Congressional approval, and he doesn't have to shut down the government to do it.

I use AOC as the absolute boogeyman but you’re a fool if you think the pendulum won’t swing back to give the Dems control of the Executive and at least one chamber.
If we accept that the Edecutive can declare a national emergency when he/she doesn’t get his way and that there for triggers a supermajority to override him, that’s super dangerous territory.
