re: “But they assaulted police officers”

In the last few weeks the FBI admittied having 26 agents in the crowd, many of which they confirm entered the capitol.

The whole thing is so annoying. Even if they DID assault police officers I'd say that serving over 3 years is MORE than enough punishment

Please don't take their word for it. We've seen the buses. We've seen Clay Higgins tell us that it was hundreds of undercover agents

quote:Who do you figure is arguing against that in any measure?
No, I mean like illegals who are arrested for things like endangering the life of a child and then released, only to commit other crimes like murder. Ya know, like Laken Riley’s murderer?
quote:I'm calling out hypocrisy which is what it is.
And a lot of these illegals Biden let in have priors in their home country.
You don’t sky scream about that
Me: PRO strong border and ANTI letting unlimited illegals in (particularly if they have priors). Also, ANTI American citizens beating and tasing police and rioting in general.
The Board: It depends on the views of those perps in question.
quote:It would be very easy to pardon the majority (especially non-violent offenders) and then take your time case by case with the violent ones. There is no justification for a blanket pardon of violent criminal assholes (and unrepentant ones at that). Several of these pardoned felons have already doubled down and threatened retribution.
Trump pardons a few people from J6 who’s served several years already for assaulting a police officer.

quote:Perhaps you do if you have a history of felonious violence which you don't seem to intend to stop.
Except most people don’t receive decades long sentences for assaulting officers.
Here's one of the valiant assholes a lot of you are knighting for:
quote:
A California man with a history of political violence was sentenced on Friday to 20 years in prison for repeatedly attacking police with flagpoles and other makeshift weapons during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
David Nicholas Dempsey’s sentence is among the longest among hundreds of Capitol riot prosecutions.
quote:
His criminal record in California includes convictions for burglary, theft and assault.
Yeah. A real stand up guy who was just minding his own business and was "persecuted" by the government.
LINK
BTW, half of my point is I FULLY AGREE about the leniency that was shown to St. Floyd rioters. Here's an example:
quote:
A 24-year-old man was sentenced Thursday to two years in federal prison for striking a deputy U.S. marshal with a wooden baseball bat as the officer was attempting to disperse a crowd and make an arrest during protests in July 2020.
LINK
Two years for sneaking LEO with a baseball bat. frick that. And I'm sure there's 1000 more they could have arrested that they didn't. None of that excuses pardoning repeat, violent offenders.

quote:What an utterly preposterous take which has no rational way of going to extremes that aren't full slippery slope.
Looks like they abided by the 2A & formed a Militia to combat the illegitimate regime, which is their/our right under the constitution. The cops just violated that right by getting in the way.
The violence started & ended with the the cap' pd.

Again, as a reminder: lots of you advocate shooting illegal border crossers dead on sight. And first offense for that is a misdemeanor, sort of on the order of a bad speeding ticket.

You found one person out of 1500 that has a long criminal history and extrapolated that to mean all 1500 J6ers.
The severity of the crimes on J6 pales in comparison to crimes committed by illegals and leftists who rampaged through our country in the summer of 2020, yet, you only skyscream about the people Trump pardoned.

Had your side not tainted the process with fake J6 investigations complete with destroying evidence and witnesses tampering, trumped up charges and biased judges, that might have been possible.
You have no one to blame but yourself because you supported a corrupt process.

There’s not plenty there.
In a VIOLENT INSURRECTION, this is it?
What a joke.
On your pathetic lil video it’s 85% pushing and shoving - cop on cop.
Then the scene you peed yourself over, the cop is completely out of view.
This is your best evidence?
Do better.
Lie detector test for you - how many officers died at the hands of January 6th protesters?

He still thinks Trump supporters murdered a bunch of cops that day like media and democrats told him.

Right.
If evidence existed of assaulting cops the media and DC maggots would run it daily.
I’m sure he “believes” whatever his programmers have installed.

That’s another glaring fact.
Of those arrested for January 6th, very few had criminal histories.
But gotttdamn, the BLM riots had criminals out in droves.
Makes sense though.

Wall Street Journal. Jan 21 editorial.
quote:
Daniel Joseph “DJ” Rodriguez, sentenced to 151 months, who can be seen on video, federal prosecutors said, deploying an “electroshock weapon” against a policeman who was dragged out of the defensive line, by “plunging it into the officer’s neck.” The night before, he promised in a MAGA chat group: “There will be blood.”
• William Lewis, given 37 months, “sprayed streams of Wasp and Hornet Killer spray at multiple police officers on four distinct occasions,” forcing several to flee the line and “seek treatment for their eyes.”
• Isreal James Easterday, 30 months, blasted a cop “in the face with pepper spray at point-blank range,” after which the officer “collapsed and temporarily lost consciousness, which enabled another rioter to steal his baton.”
• Thomas Andrew Casselman, 40 months, hit multiple officers “near their faces” with pepper spray. His later internet searches included, “The statute of limitations for assault on a police officer.”
• Curtis Davis, 24 months, punched two police officers in the head. That night he filmed a video of his fist, in which he bragged: “Them knuckles right there, from one of those m— faces at the Capitol.”
• Ronald Colton McAbee, 70 months, hit a cop while wearing “reinforced brass knuckle gloves,” and he held one down on the ground as “other rioters assailed the officer for over 20 seconds,” causing a concussion.
• Michael Joseph Foy, 40 months, brought a hockey stick with a TRUMP 2020 flag attached, which he swung “over his head and downward at police officers as if he were chopping wood.”
There are more like this, which everyone understood on Jan. 6 and shortly afterward. “There is nothing patriotic about what is occurring on Capitol Hill,” one GOP official tweeted. “This is 3rd world style anti-American anarchy.” That was Marco Rubio, now Mr. Trump’s Secretary of State. He was right.

Too bad you don't understand our God given rights under the Constitution of our Republic.
The people are in charge buddy. The sooner you & others like you realize that, the better this great nation will become.
That is our Capitol & the only slipping I see are left wing nutjobs.
And the common sense citizens, whom are on the right side of history....

What would you do?
I would have expected the "alleged" police officers standing within arm's length of her to pull her back after they had curiously stepped aside to watch it unfold.
That entire scenario stinks to high heaven.

Wow! 7 whole people out of 1500.
Posted on 1/26/25 at 8:09 am to thebigmuffaletta
That's just 7. There were more. Only sad part about these particular prisoners is there were no antifa or BLM prisoners sitting next to them in prison.

This is such a dumbass taking point from liberals. Are we going to pretend they weren't cheating that shite on during the summer of love?
