I so miss hunting and certain Southern specialities like squirrel as well as rabbit.
Hunting provides for truly "organically raised" meats and it also helps our souls so we remain rooted in the earth and God which humbles us at the same time that we are thankful and blessed for the meals that will be provided by those kills. We are such a "neatly packaged and marketed" society especially in the metro areas like NY and L.A.

So how is it logical for a hunter to love animals yet kill them at the same time?
How is it logical for someone in the Sierra Club to live in a house made of lumber taken from trees that were cut down in the prime of their lives?
Or an environmentalist who uses a Mac made from components that were ripped from the Earth using explosives and refined with harmful chemicals to create a website and pamphlets on the harmful effects of mining?

I just don't get the point of hunting when everyone lives within a few miles of a grocery store.
Hunting isn't just about food. It's the sport, the strategy involved in the chase, the enjoyment of the outdoors and the comradery of fellow hunters along for the hunt.
