I feel bad for those non-essentials that didn't plan their lives for this accordingly, I'm sure it's hard. They'll get paid soon enough though, this thing is coming to a head in short order.
For the dems that claim we don't care about the non-essentials not getting paid - that's a load of horse shite. I care about them very much.
I also recognize that they may have to make a small sacrifice for a short time for the betterment of our country - plenty of men and women have sacrificed much more for our country in its' history. This will all be a distant memory at some point.
ETA - it should be noted that I'm essential and in Federal law enforcement and I got paid. I think the folks that handle all that for us were considered essential, but that's not the case in some other agencies
