Yeah, a nice thought. And in the meantime, we got folks from Guatemala showing up to the work site ready to go and not strung out on drugs.
Great then make them pay taxes. Better yet come up with a work VISA for them.

12.5 million illegal aliens my arse. Maybe double that at least.

I've seen estimates as high as $300 billion and the variance to these estimates is entirely driven by the unknown illegal population.

Id be careful with the 19 billion they pay in taxes. Theres that sweet little honey hole called Earned Income Tax Credit where they can claw back the taxes they paid AS WELL AS the taxes their employer paid on there behalf. Just use their fake social security number, same one they had to use to get the job, and you actually net out cash by filing cause you can get back your money and matching funds from your employer. Its a sweet gig being illegal.

Sorry bud, you’re talking to someone who has already arrived at a conclusion and has no need for any new information.

Of course the companies are ok with it. But whether or not they are ok with it is irrelevant. This cheap labor does absolutely no good for American citizens.
And no, this is not a separate topic. Why continue giving these countries aid if they continuously display an inability to use said money correctly?

When immigrants enter the labor force, they increase the productive capacity of the economy and raise GDP.
Not exactly what I was looking for, but good information.
Certainly this improvement will follow a curve such that it will fuel the economy only up until there is a "tipping point" where there are no more jobs left to fill.

I actually have a crazy liberal tree hugging sister n law that insists that illegals don't cost taxpayers one dime and there is zero proof they do.
