Exactly and even if they don't follow other countries that had 45 day Delta surges (india and england) and still wanted mask mandates...it is clear the 45 day surge is over in La. and if the politicians were rational and not power hungry they would be glad to drop the mandates because we are beating the virus.

I will be following how they do things next week. We can cancel our hotel up to 48 hrs before. Flight was a credit from last summer. Tix try to resell or eat the $$$.

If you consider Metairie/JP as part of New Orleans, sure. But Rt in LA is .46 today. Orleans Parish is .40.

Yes, you are right! Neither of the emails we received regarding COVID protocols said anything about the kids. But the announced protocols on lsusports.net says masks will be required for kids 5-11 yrs old. Sorry you have to deal with such BS.

A power hungry Dem Governor doing his best to destroy his State and their livelihoods. He gets a permanent Garson making people do useless shite just because...
His Sheriff Brother just covered up the killing of a bunch of nursing home evacuees... It's the Louisiana version of the Cuomo Brothers.. Kill a few old people for kicks... Meh.

New Orleans has a lower Rt than the state as a whole.

Last year I started tracking the daily new cases numbers in Louisiana. Back then, the policy was, if you tested positive over 14 days ago, and you're not dead or in the hospital, then you were presumed to have recovered. I was tracking "active" cases based on the positive test count in the past 15 days (today plus 14) plus hospitalizations. I stopped in earlier in the year due to low case count, but started back about a month ago. Here are my counts for the past 4 Fridays:
8/13/21: 68,403
8/20/21: 65,160
8/27/21: 58,123
9/3/21: 40,836
In a months time the active case count has fallen 40%. On Friday, July 30, the 7-day average of new cases was 4,690. JBE felt that amount didn't warrant a mask mandate. On Monday, August 2, he announced a mask mandate starting Wednesday the 4th. 7-day average on those dates are 5,084 and 5,295. The most recent available data for 7-day average is 8/25 at 4,209. Over a 10% drop from the Friday before he announced the mandate. When we get new numbers tomorrow, the 7-day average is set to drop by about 500 to around 3,700.

I'm not saying there is a mask mandate in stores...im going off of the lsu press release from about 10 days ago saying 5-11 yr olds will be required to wear a mask inside Tiger Stadium.
I will watching and listening next week after the game to see how much it is enforced in the stadium.
My confusion is the rt number being so low and the leading institution in the state of Louisiana is denying science.
