This is a bit of class warfare. Sure, wealthy folks, with only one parent working, will get ahead but home schooling is a huge challenge for parents that both work or don’t care about their kids. If there was ever a time teachers should be rallying for kids to get in school, it’s now. I think the vulnerable teachers should just do early retirement and let the college age teachers get new jobs or graduates that need jobs. Parents that are willing to teach. Basically what that dem said...he is spot on.

I’m a teacher and this is the first time in a long time Ive agreed with anything coming out of a Democrat’s mouth.

It’s infuriating the ignorant and/or lazy vocal minority are keeping us from being able to do our jobs.

I support and value education. That’s why I loathe teacher unions and remain disappointed with the caliber of people that are allowed to teach.

I agree the teacher hate is sad but....

A large majority of the teachers and professors on in college have some crazy views and shove it down the throats of the students. It just makes me sick. I went to school in NorCal and had a few really good teachers that positively effected my life and a ton of teachers that are damn crazy and were around for the last military draft and still hate the govt... It's really sick that those people are having such a negative impact on the kids in school right now....

Also the teachers are not United from anyone what I know. Some refuse to come back other than through distance learning. The majority are over 50 with some have spouses 5-10years older, and some are younger care takers of parents...

Fear had everything to do with what going on. The combo of the media and most teachers left leaning views is causing damage to everything

If teachers unions are anything like nursing unions then that is a good thing.

It’s a shame neither seem to be respected or appreciated these days. Too many people obsessed with the almighty dollar, judging what they don’t know or understand, and just being rude.

Every profession has bad apples and teachers aren’t exempt

Why should teachers continue to be paid if they aren’t and won’t work?

Thou shalt not express an opinion which is even tangentially-contrary to the Groupthink.

You expressed no opinion supporting all distance learning. You did not oppose a return to school. You did not complain about teacher pay.

Imagine the response if you had.

It used to be a respectable profession...so was journalism.

Most Teachers are sold out to the Democrat party...and many are borderline communists in their way of thinking "how things should be" . What my teens tell me is down right discouraging

teachers today think they know everything while they lived in a bubble under government protection.

... government pay government security M many of them from the protection of a Union..

None of these things a tax payer can relate to.

..

It is indeed a shame these “educators” are being exposed as spineless individuals who don’t actually care about the kids. They got an extra summer break in the spring and now just can’t handle the idea of actually working again.

It’s not about that money. It’s about the mental health of the kids including the development of their brains. That is time that can’t be made up. The democrats are robbing a generation of normalcy by playing political games.
