In addition, the armed forces have changed their retirement plans so that it includes a 401K option, which will benefit those who choose not to serve the full 20 years, and the 401K plan has some very generous matching contributions to help our active duty servicemen and women to plan better for their retirement.
The government should revamp retirement benefits with a transition period before doing anything drastic. I feel the 401k route is cheaper and more efficient way of handling retirements.

So it has nothing to do with money? You just want to take more rights away, got it.

Last I heard there were 23 general officers in In Baghdad alone. I fail to see how this entire goat rope requires more than 1 or 2 at max. It is essentially an Advise and Assist mission across the board, with very limited "Accompany" authorities.
The military keeps asking for more, and they keep getting it. They haven't really gotten any meaningful results with all these resources, yet BHO still hasn't been able to refuse them.
We have to end the military worship in this country or nothing will ever change.

Almost everything is "a small part of the budget" so almost nothing gets cut.
going to have to have an across the board bludgeon, that will drive managers in govt to react like mgrs in the private sector do when their resources get slashed by the market
