What evidence do you have her deposition wasn’t recorded, as is standard DOJ protocol? DOJ standard practice is video/audio with reporting-trained FBI in the room.
Most of what we have on Epstein came through civil suits. Even if all/portions of the transcript is eventually released publicly, do you really expect a bulleted meeting recap released 24 hours later when immunity is being considered and pursuant investigation/justice of those implicated still to take place?
I see a lot of folks claiming she gave 100+ names. 100+ individuals were discussed but it’s not at all clear who DOJ asked about vs. who she volunteered vs. who of those discussed were confirmed by her to be involved.

It wasn’t a deposition, it was an interview. House subpoenaed for deposition 8/11.
Is it normal to interview someone like this two weeks before a deposition? Genuinely asking, I’m not an attorney. If it is normal, would it be normal if the interview wound up being off record?

Why are you spinning out so bad?
12 US DA’s had chance to interview Maxwell.
Bondi is the first one to even bother talking to her. At least things are moving forward.

You said there was no recording. One can infer that’s based on you not having access to it.

Do you really think she wasn’t under oath? Come on. It was a deposition. She just wasn’t subpoenaed for it.

The entire purpose was immunity for the subpoenaed deposition. DOJ isn’t going to question her about 100+ people over two days without putting her under oath for evidence. Her attorney proudly told the media she didn’t invoke her 5th amendment right once. It was a deposition.

Actually said in another comment that I’m not expecting anything to be “available”.

In which case a record isn’t legally required. That was the point of distinguishing the terms & the interest in the timeline vs 8/11.
They probably/hopefully recorded it, but I’m sure we’ll find out eventually.

You don’t have to be subpoenaed to be deposed if you voluntarily appear which was clearly the case here. The point of the subpoena is to compel you to appear, not a notice providing you time to learn how not to lie.

You’re right. So the answer to the question in OP is very likely yes?

Of course, the interview was recorded. Ghislaine will not only implicate many dem perverts but will also help Trump win his gazillion dollar suit against Murdoch and WSJ. She is in position to say that Trump never sent the letter and that it was obviously planted by the Deep State! I can hear the left and the media melting and wailing already. Their tears will be so sweet.

No doubt. Makes absolutely zero legal sense to run through two days of heads ups on questioning she’s then subpoenaed for.

Why speculate so much when the bottom line is you simply don’t know, and there are countless possibilities that neither you nor myself are even aware of. It’s quite a bit more complicated because factors individual to each case are kept very secret, and for a reason. I know not to speculate too much, because I know there’s a lot that I don’t know, and Ive been both a felony prosecutor and a felony defense attorney in the last year. Just respect the fact that you just dont know. Until you do.

Was the tarmac meeting between James Comey and Hillary Clinton recorded when they discussed “family matters” wink wink?

No idea and not quite clear on why it’s specifically relevant to this situation, ie what influence it might have in this thang.
***But that could be on me. I’m willing to be educated though.
