Here is an example company: LINK
At the end of the day what they are selling and bringing to market is energy. The vehicle to store the value of energy is bitcoin.
It’s cheap and availability in West Texas.

Well if it isn't a scam coin or the government doing private business things, I don't really care about it.
Thanks for the clarification.

I don’t think it’s a coin at all. It’s a mining operation.

It’s not a pump and dump. You can buy bitcoin miners right now and set them up in your guest bedroom and start mining tomorrow.
It is like saying a shady gold-mining stock cannot be a scam because gold is real. The existence of the commodity does not guarantee the legitimacy of the company. In this case you are buying Trump-branded equity, not a miner, and those are two completely different things.

He meant 2% of all the BTC mined in one day. He was just expressing how large their facility is. I asked AI how much BTC is currently mined in a day across the globe and it answered with 450 BTC. So this server farm is mining about 9 BTC per day.
The possible amount of BTC that can get mined slowly decrease everyday.

Yeah, I've considered starting a similar business and have dabbled in it on a smaller scale.

Not a bad idea. You can snag some Bitmain Antminer models for under 5k.

It looks like the only way for the public to get involved is stock investing on the NASDAQ. It also looks like their competitive advantage is cheap energy.

What you linked is a hosting company. They rent rack space and power so people can park their miners. That has nothing to do with whether American Bitcoin Corp is a pump and dump.
EZ Blockchain sells hosting services. Trump’s company sells a stock. Two completely different businesses.
If you think the “product” Trump is bringing to market is energy, then you are actually proving the opposite point. Hosting companies like the one you linked charge for electricity and uptime. They are not publicly traded hype vehicles tied to a name. They don't depend on speculation to survive. They just lease power and space.
This is not that. It is a stock tied to a mining operation and the Trump brand, which is exactly the type of structure where pump and dumps usually happen.
It is like pointing to a normal mining equipment supplier to defend a speculative mining stock. The existence of a real service does not make the stock legitimate.

It's mostly about the cost of electricity and cooling that has prevented me from doing it. Solar to run just one of those is probably 5k minimum DIY, and I'd want to run many of them. While a bigger kit can reduce the cost per miner, it also increases the space I need for solar etc. I'd have to move in order to scale it.
Also while the newer miner speeds are very impressive, I kind of look at the older ones that are now basically not profitable and that's a cause for concern.
I should have done it 15 years ago but I thought for sure they'd strike it down since alternative currencies are illegal. But I guess the commodity argument is going to stick.

I’ve seen A LOT worse pump and dump schemes on the stock exchanges over the years.
