How fricking stupid are you?

Trump should have fired Fauci the second he admitted he lied to the American people about masks. And how did that work out for Trump not firing Fauci? Last I checked he’s no longer President.

George Herbert Walker Bush and Joe Biden were both VP’s. So 2 of the last 6.

Yes.

The buck stops with him.

He was elected to make tough calls like that.

Hell, Trump has made similar ballsy calls before and we really needed that one. If he had made it, he would be in his second term right now and Biden is in a nursing home where he belongs.

All you’re doing is making excuses for him.

Why? I don’t subscribe to that view (at all).

Trump is getting older, as such he may ;or may not) seek a full term. I say he won’t. I do believe that he would go scorched Earth this time and then bail. That’s just my .02.

Yeah, and how much influence did either of these people have in his administration? And Bush sure as shite didn’t need the Vice Presidency for an additional qualification to be President. It was probably the least prestigious position he held for like 20 years.

No way. That would have caused riots as he would have been perceived a a rube ignoring the science in the face of mass death/sickness. I thought Trump weathered the storm well with those press conferences every day.

Yes, you describe to an idiotic view of the role of the Vice Presidency.

Then you think of Donald Trump as a completely different human being than he is.

Bush = a result of Reagan’s coattails being so dominant and look at what happened in 92 for his own reelection where he shite the bed.

Biden = covid, mass mail ballots and he still needed democrat establishment chicanery to rig the nomination for him in the primaries.

There also have been VP losses in the last 60 years. Gore 2000, Mondale 1984, Humphrey 1968

You’re talking about a mixed bag here for VP’s.

I think either would be a good progressive counter, but we won’t win this unless we attack the indoctrination going on in schools. We need conservatives from all over to start there first.

You’ll get downvoted because enough of this board worships at the altar of Trump. But in a Presidential election this is 100% accurate. The same independents and white suburbanites who claim to be conservative will again refuse to vote for Trump because he says mean things.

Donald Trump, the law and order President, is the same guy who refused to use the insurrection act to put down the BLM riots when it was absolutely needed and instead chose to let our cities burn so of course he didn’t have the stones to fire Fauci.

You don’t know that. I’m calling bullshite on your take. Hell, Pelosi’s and your RINO pals would have more than likely gone 25th Amendment on him. Pence sure as frick would have been down for that.

As always, your take is based on hindsight.
I have yet to see your political takes pan out.

frick off with your peej level prognostications.

No - I’m talking about DeSantis.

I have confidence in him to handle business pretty easily from a VP position. As stated, 2 of the last 6...you know, fairly recent history.

That, and Desantis will be only 45 vs 78 for Trump. It would also be Trump's second term so you'd be running someone else in 2028 as opposed to DeSantis running for re-election which is a distinct advantage in Presidential elections.

These are also the people that worshipped Fauci and wore two masks.

Speaking of Fauci worshipping...

OK, this sentence here is conclusive proof that you don’t understand the VP’s position. The VP only has two duties:

1) Replace the President in case of death
2) Bang a gavel to break tie breaking votes

That’s it. That’s the beginning and end of their actual duties. It should be and usually is a worthless position, and you’re ignorant or an idiot if you think DeSantis would give up the governorship of Florida to blow Trump as I know many on this board are desperate to do.
