whatever resistance resulted in the empire adopting Christianity in 380A.D
Christianity was spread throughout the Roman Empire and the rest of the world from 32 A.D. and on by the testimony and blood of the martyrs…there was no use of force to bring people to Christ as has been done by the adherents of Islam.

you can disagree with doctrine but the concept of them not being Christian is wrong.

I can only imagine the horror of being a follower and under contant fear of the Lions. That is sort of biblical mocking by Rome I think.

You have to believe Christians will vote Trump when you see the Amish with their horse drawn carrages bearing large Trump and American flags flowing down their main streets.

Roman Catholicism isn’t Christianity.
There was no Roman Catholic Church in 380 A.D. There was only one Church undivided until 1054 A.D.
And the edict issued by Theodosius in 380 A.D. was in Constantinople, the seat of the Eastern Roman Empire, not in Rome.

The lions were just one of the myriad of tortures used by pagans against Christians. However, the martyrs did not live in constant fear…they stood valiantly for Christ.
St. Ignatius of Antioch, one of the children who years before sat on the lap of Christ, was torn apart by lions and said, “Allow me to become food for the wild beasts, through whose means it will be granted me to reach God. I am the wheat of God, let me be ground by the teeth of the wild beasts, that I may be found the pure bread of Christ”

I"m guessing that there's a handful, but more likely just doing their democracy thing, and trying to twist their candidates arm. I see nothing wrong with that.
Twist until election day, then go to the poll and vote DJT if it's close in your state. If it's not, do what you want.

yeah kinda like you never heard of eastern orthodox, greek, russian, romanian, etc until after 1054 as well.
OH NOZ the eastern church never existed until 1054!

Why are you so angry in this discussion? What did I say that has you so emotionally attached to my responses?

Since you commanded me to use my brain…St. Linus was the 1st Bishop of Rome. St. Peter was not.
