I have something to add to your post whenever I get around to it, but for now...

How many downvotes would it's own thread garner from the Political Talk herd?!

Yep.

Good write up that opened my eyes to it:

Mass media is the most powerful tool used by the ruling class to manipulate the masses. It shapes and molds opinions and attitudes and defines what is normal and acceptable. This article looks at the workings of mass media through the theories of its major thinkers, its power structure and the techniques it uses, in order to understand its true role in society.

Most of the articles on this site discuss occult symbolism found in objects of popular culture. From these articles arise many legitimate questions relating to the purpose of those symbols and the motivations of those who place them there, but it is impossible for me to provide satisfactory answers to these questions without mentioning many other concepts and facts. I’ve therefore decided to write this article to supply the theoretical and methodological background of the analyzes presented on this site as well as introducing the main scholars of the field of mass communications. Some people read my articles and think I’m saying “Lady Gaga wants to control our minds”. That is not the case. She is simply a small part of the huge system that is the mass media.

The Economist is an English-language weekly magazine-format newspaper owned by the Economist Group and edited at offices in London.[2][6][7][8] Continuous publication began under its founder, James Wilson, in September 1843. In 2015 its average weekly circulation was a little over 1.5 million, about half of which were sold in the United States.[5][2]

The publication belongs to the Economist Group. It is 50% owned by the English branch of the Rothschild family and by the Agnelli family through its holding company Exor. The remaining 50% is held by private investors including the editors and staff.[9][10] The Rothschilds and the Agnellis are represented on the board of directors.[11]

A Brazilian student has mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind a locked room covered in encrypted texts, 14 handwritten books and a massive statue of occultist Giordano Bruno.

Bruno Borges, a 24-year-old student from Brazil, reportedly vanished on March 27th after completing a secretive project consisting of thousands of pages of encrypted texts combined with mysterious symbols. Along with references to the Bible, alchemy, demonology and Leonardo da Vinci,

Bruno, is referenced in the large pdf that Darkomantis shared here (LaRouche info). He was a pivotal player in the past.

quote:

“Giordano Bruno (1548–1600) is regarded among extraterrestrial apologists, secular and occult, as a free-thought martyr. Born in Naples, Bruno was a Catholic priest, Dominican monk, philosopher, hermetist, Kabbalist, mathematician, and astronomer. Influenced by Lucretius, his cosmology went well beyond the Copernican model by proposing that the sun was merely a garden variety star, and moreover, that the universe contained an infinite number of worlds populated by intelligent alien beings. Delving deeply into occult lore, Bruno preferred magical to mathematical reasoning. Bruno’s faith has been described as “an incoherent materialistic pantheism.” Moreover, Bruno argued that his beliefs did not contradict Scripture or true religion. Yet, this begs the question: What did he regard as true religion?

Bruno defined magic as “the knowledge of the science of nature.” Within the renaissance worldview, it was common to merge magic and science because both explore and seek to gain mastery over the structure of the universe. Similarly, religion and magic were conflated because both answered the ultimate questions and offered communion with the divine. Accordingly, for Bruno, magic was the tool for realizing the ends of science and religion. While it seems at odds with the cold, hard, materialist posturing we are accustomed to, naturalist scientists are the heirs apparent to many of the occult traditions.”
– Cris D. Putnam, Giordano Bruno

The statue stands on a complex diagram resembling the alchemical symbol of transmutation. Very much in line with Randall's work...

Does altering brainwaves really mean we are altering mental state?

It is now admitted that neuronal oscillations play an important role in brain
operations5 . Cognition – the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses – results from interactions among functionally specialized but widely distributed brain regions, organized as sets of neuronal networks. Cognitive processes can be associated with specific neuronal networks (such as the dorsal attention network, the default mode network, the alertness network, and so on*); and the multiple brain regions composing a neuronal network communicate through neuronal oscillations. Thus, neuronal oscillations correspond to the critical ‘middle ground’ linking single-neuron activity to behavior. The emerging new field of ‘neuronal oscillations’ has created an interdisciplinary platform that cuts across psychophysics, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, biophysics, computational modeling, physics, mathematics, and philosophy. And specific patterns of neuronal oscillations now start to be seen as fingerprints of cognitive processes1 1 . Mental states can thus be altered via neuronal oscillations, but such an alteration has to reach a critical level to be consciously perceived. Indeed, neuronal oscillations are in a constantly fluctuating, while we have a subjective impression of mental stability and continuity. * See also: www.brain.fm/pdfs/ResearchLibrary.pdf

Prior cultures recognized this:

-meditation pervasive in Eastern cultures
-music woven into culture / religion. The construction of cathedrals amplified this effect in their design (sound/acoustics)
-some argue that this is the true purpose of the Great Pyrimad (alter human conciousness through sound...)

It is easy to appreciate the fact that it is easy to get lost in the great music. We have all experienced this (at home with good headphones or at a concert with amplified collective conciousness). Examples include:

aggression experienced with strong percussion = military drum beat, music at sporting event

tranquility experienced with symphonic/ soft music = singing lullabies to children

It should be becoming clearer why the Pink Floyd angle if woven into all of this that I am presenting. Sound, music, communication are vitally important (and the focus of Pink Floyd songs/album)

quote:

"The Dark Side Of The Moon" is my second review of a Pink Floyd album on Progarchives. The first was "Wish You Were Here". "The Dark Side Of The Moon" is the sixth studio album by Pink Floyd and was released in 1973. The album was recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios, between May 1972 and January 1973, with the staff engineer of Alan Parsons, who was directly responsible for some of the most notable aspects of the album. Parsons had previously worked with the group as assistant tape operator on their fifth studio album "Atom Heart Mother" released in 1970. For his work on that album, Parsons received a Grammy Award for "Best Engineered Album".

It is widely regarding as the best piece of engineered music, EVER....

Who is Alan Parson?

You have heard his music routinely as the instrumental lead into "Eye in the Sky" which is called "Sirius" (more occult references as Sirius is regarded as the ancients as the star that is "eye in the sky"....

Regarding fluctuations in sea level throughout history.. but here are a couple links some might find interesting -- for those that didn't see it at the time or forgot

quote:

Scientists are exploring a submerged forest of bald cypress trees off the coast of Alabama in the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane Katrina is thought to have uncovered it. Earlier in 2013, they announced that the forest is much older than originally thought. An early speculation was that the submerged trees were between 8,000 and 12,000 years old. The newer estimate dates the submerged trees from about 50,000 to 80,000 years ago. The submerged forest provides evidence that coastal Alabama has risen between 60 and 120 feet (18 to 36 meters) in the last 50,000 years. Scientists are now hoping to sample the ancient forest to understand what climate conditions were like along the Gulf coast during that time in Earth’s history.

LINK

quote:

“When you get close and start looking,” he says, “the logs still have bark. We’re actually finding trees that have lightning scars on them... When you cut into them with a saw, they still smell fresh — like fresh, piney trees and they have sap that oozes out of the cuts.”

This unexpected undersea world is a magical place, says Raines. As you swim through it, you realize “you’re traveling back in time 50,000 years.”

“These were like redwoods,” he explains. “We’ve got stumps down there that are up to ten feet across, and you don’t see trees like that on the Gulf Coast. You can’t really imagine them, but before we were here cutting everything down, that’s what was here — this forest of trees so big, ten people with their arms outstretched couldn’t fit all the way around it holding hands.

LINK

quote:

Well, this is about 60 feet. Of course, all over the Earth, we know sea levels have gone down hundreds of feet. So we have a delta, a river delta here. Further up in the delta, about 80 miles inland, there’s sand dollars all over in these limestone bluffs. So we know sea level was that high at one time. Now we’ve got these trees 60 feet underwater, so sea level was that low, and it’s just a fascinating push and pull of the ocean through the climatic change over the eons.

Finishing my thoughts on the power of music / sound. I think I posted this in the original deleted thread, but it is pertinent here:

The Meaning of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon

quote:

Dark Side of the Moon has endured through the years because it is such a well written and thought out concept album. A concept album is an album where all (or most) of the songs on that album revolve around a story or a theme. This is a contrast to most studio albums which just lay out a series of songs that are often unconnected or unrelated with the exception of the fact that they are on the same album.

quote:

So what is the meaning of Dark Side of the Moon?

Dark Side of the Moon is a concept album that discusses the philosophical and physical ideas that can lead to a person's insanity, and ultimately an unfulfilled life.

The album is a cautionary tale in two parts, the first half describes living a life that goes unfulfilled. This part of the album consists of the following tracks:

Speak To Me/Breathe
On The Run
Time/Breathe Reprise
Great Gig In The Sky

The second half of the album consists of individual songs about different ideas and concepts that are detrimental to society and can lead to madness. These songs are:

Money
Us and Them
A color You Like
Brain Damage
Eclipse

The philosophical ideas in the second half of the album are a sort of madness in their own right. They are also the root causes to the problem mentioned in the first half of the album that focuses on living an unfulfilled life.

quote:

It's a metaphor for darkness, the darkness (or different ideas) that can destroy all of the positive emotions and ideas that are a part of humanity. In effect the darkness represents insanity. But like in reality the light portrayed by the moon is really an illusion. So it would appear that the album, which seems to take the dark side of the moon concept to heart is suggesting, is that everyone on some level is insane or will have to deal with madness.

Dark Side of the Moon seems to specifically suggest that there are two types of insanity. The first type of insanity mentioned on the album suggests people go insane by riding the tide. Or specifically speaking, people are insane for doing what they're told all of the time and just accepting life for what it is.

The second type of insanity mentioned on the album suggests that the people that don't ride the tide realize that the people riding the tide are insane. In turn their efforts to try to convince people not to ride the tide, or their resistance to the tide itself causes them to go insane.

This perspective is very important to keep in mind as you delve into the topics we discuss here...

The article does a fantastic job laying out a breakdown of each song and the overall pictures (very much in line with my own thoughts/experiences).

Specific to sound and media (from posts above), I will point out the following songs/lyrics:

Breathe Reprise

Home, home again.
I like to be here when I can.
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire.
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

The power of music /religion to influence and comfort the masses...

Brain Damage

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

---

Clearly referencing the media (the popular "paper" at that time)
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane - talking points to create group think in a person trying to think for themselves...

The most concise way of explaining the theme of this album is below:

---

Regarding Parson's song...

"Eye In The Sky"

Don't think sorry's easily said
Don't try turning tables instead
You've taken lots of chances before
But I ain't gonna give any more
Don't ask me
That's how it goes
'Cause part of me knows what you're thinking...
Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusation before
And I ain't gonna take any more
Believe me
The sun in your eyes
Made some of the lies worth believing

[CHORUS]
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see any more
To know that I can read your mind, I can read your mind

Don't leave false illusions behind
Don't cry 'cause I ain't changing my mind
So find another fool like before
'Cause I ain't gonna live anymore believing
Some of the lies while all of the signs are deceiving

[CHORUS]

---

Will post some info on the moon when I get a chance. Below is a visual riddle of sorts (from a recent motion picture) that serves as an introduction to some of it...

NEO impacts have been a big part of Earth's History. From 1,850 million years ago to 1908 and they're still out there. Many of the major impacts we know of have been on the Yucatan Peninsula ( K-T Extinction ); Quebec, Canada; the Arizona Desert; Lonar, India; Wolf Creek, Australia; and Tunguska, Siberia.
In 1908 a small comet or meteor collided with the Earth and exploded in the sky with a force of 1000 times the bomb of Hiroshima, toppling the trees like matchsticks and sending a pressure-wave twice around the world. The ground trembled north and northwest of Lake Baikal in Central Siberia. Reports of a glowing body flying over came from various points of the territory. Various conjectures were soon offered to explain the nature of the Tunguska event.
The most popular were a meteorite fall, a ball lightning, and an earthquake (because of the seismic phenomena). Since official science of the time put in doubt the existence of ball lightning, while the possibility of glow occurring during earthquakes was, as a rule, rejected. The general consensus was that a very large meteorite had come down in Siberia. Attempts to put forward any other interpretations of the Tunguska event had been quashed for many years.
Today the Tunguska problem can be considered an important part of the larger problem of the possible collision of Earth with those cosmic bodies called Near Earth Objects. Various programs have been started to track NEO's, among them are NEAT ( Near Earth Asteroid Tracking ) and LINEAR ( Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research ).
To estimate the scale of collision danger threatening our planet, one should base research not only on the calculations of the probability of collisions, but also on the investigative results of such events in Earth's history.

From the stone puzzle, found it relevant to the discussion at hand.

Thanks for linking the stone info. More info on yet another "stone"

I was hoping to hold off on the moon for a while, but wanted to make a point now given the current timing in the current lunar cycle:

Very few people realize how Easter is determined each year. The answer is below:

quote:

In 325CE the Council of Nicaea established that Easter would be held on the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the vernal equinox.(*) From that point forward, the Easter date depended on the ecclesiastical approximation of March 21 for the vernal equinox.
Easter is delayed by 1 week if the full moon is on Sunday, which decreases the chances of it falling on the same day as the Jewish Passover. The council’s ruling is contrary to the Quartodecimans, a group of Christians who celebrated Easter on the day of the full moon, 14 days into the month.

quote:

It is an interesting coincidence that the Moon should so nearly perfectly blot out the Sun, since there is really no physical reason why this has be the case. The Moon happens to be about 400 times smaller than the Sun, but the Sun happens to be about 400 times further from the Earth than the Moon is.

This phenomenon is unique to the viewing platform that is the Earth

Will have more to say about the moon in future posts, but will return to Randall's work this weekend

Relevant comment from Closedsociety404:

Wrong.

Basic nonsense: the fight is over Iran vs Syria pipelines. Assad = Iran pipeline, "Rebels" = Saudi pipeline.

Next level: the fight is about blocking both pipelines. Look up the Leviathan oil field discovery in 2010. Syrian conflict starts shortly thereafter. Offshore deposits are more expensive, so Iran AND Saudi pipelines need to be blocked to make Leviathan field viable. You'd want to drag out the conflict in this scenario (as is happening).

Woke level: The triangulation described above is only a small part of the picture, capable of deceiving smart but uninformed people. Read about ISIS obsession with destroying ancient sites. When you realize that Syria, Iran, and North Korea are some of the only places in the world where ancient sites haven't been covered up / destroyed, then you start seeing that the war machine is really about covering up human history. Mystery Babylon doesn't want people getting exposed to incontrovertible evidence that almost everything they know is a lie, down to basic 101 facts you learned in history class.

Consider the fact that USA can shoot down any missiles Iran/NK would launch. Nuclear programs are of no threat whatsoever. Both of these countries are threats though: they have ancient megalith sites that can be excavated live on TV and blow open Mystery Babylon's lies and create a massive overnight conspiratorial point of view going all the way back to the beginning that would unravel the modern system of control that traces back thousands of years.

What's old is new...

HLI emphasized the importance of understanding the past to decode the present. I have been digging into the ancient past here.

I am currently reading an extensive book

The Secret Teachings of All Ages : Hall, Manly P.

quote:

When confronted with a problem involving the use of the reasoning faculties, individuals of strong intellect keep their poise, and seek to reach a solution by obtaining facts bearing upon the question. Those of immature mentality, on the other hand, when similarly confronted, are overwhelmed. While the former may be qualified to solve the riddle of their own destiny, the latter must be led like a flock of sheep and taught in simple language. They depend almost entirely upon the ministrations of the shepherd. The Apostle Paul said that these little ones must be fed with milk, but that meat is the food of strong men. Thoughtlessness is almost synonymous with childishness, while thoughtfulness is symbolic of maturity. There are, however, but few mature minds in the world; and thus it was that the philosophic-religious doctrines of the pagans were divided to meet the needs of these two fundamental groups of human intellect— one philosophic, the other incapable of appreciating the deeper mysteries of life. To the discerning few were revealed the esoteric, or spiritual, teachings, while the unqualified many received only the literal, or exoteric, interpretations. In order to make simple the great truths of Nature and the abstract principles of natural law, the vital forces of the universe were personified, becoming the gods and goddesses of the ancient mythologies. While the ignorant multitudes brought their offerings to the altars of Priapus and Pan (deities representing the procreative energies), the wise recognized in these marble statues only symbolic concretions of great abstract truths.

quote:

These individuals were usually banded together, forming seclusive philosophic and religious schools. The more important of these groups were known as the Mysteries. Many of the great minds of antiquity were initiated into these secret fraternities by strange and mysterious rites, some of which were extremely cruel. Alexander Wilder defines the Mysteries as “Sacred dramas performed at stated periods. The most celebrated were those of Isis, Sabazius, Cybele, and Eleusis.” After being admitted, the initiates were instructed in the secret wisdom which had been preserved for ages. Plato, an initiate of one of these sacred orders, was severely criticized because in his writings he revealed to the public many of the secret philosophic principles of the Mysteries.

New comment by CS404:

quote:

To some extent there is looting of physical artifacts, sure. Mainly it is looting of historical knowledge and/or covering it up though. For example, it is fairly widely known to deep researchers that the explosion of the bronze age in the middle east ~2000 years ago was largely driven by the availability of copper in Michigan (USA). The silk road is just the tip of the picture; people were shipping copper down the Mississippi river and across the Atlantic 3500 years ago.

Have you ever read about calculations being done in ancient Egypt that showed the Earth was round? This is true but also a bit of a distraction from questions that started to arise about Columbus seeming to know America existed before he ever made the voyage. That's why they always teach you that he thought he landed in the East Indies rather than America, that he was going for spices. Lies.

This knowledge of the American continent was transmitted through the generations over thousands of years, but not in the public domain. The vast majority had no idea that the Earth was not flat or that America existed in 1300 AD for example. Yet, this was continuously known by the gatekeepers of knowledge.

So then you start thinking about how "conspiracies" are debunked: how could so many people keep something like 9/11 secret? Seems like a pretty impotent question in the face of many more keeping much bigger secrets for thousands of years right?

And that is just scratching the surface.

Thanks.

I finally finished Origin of Consciousness.

I've read through most of Secrets Known only to the Elites, it's a very difficult read.

I'm also reading a transcript of William Cooper's Mystery Babylon, and I have the Gospel of Thomas and The Secret Teachings of All Ages on the way.

In other words, I wish I could read many things simultaneously!

I'd be careful with The Secret Teachings of All Ages. As a Rosicrucian, we are taught not to divulge the true secrets...unless someone asks directly (when the student is ready, the master will appear). I haven't read it (but I will) but I wonder if it's filled with untruths and half truths to mislead the reader.
