This is exactly why people think this is a nefarious act.

Well...

1. When you come out while the spire is still standing saying "this was a construction accident", without anything like evidence or witnesses to back it up... it kinda smells a little like bullshite…

2. Given that France has gone to great lengths to make their new migrant population feel welcome, including passing laws that make it a crime to label a group if such labeling would defame the group... one with a critical mind would smell a little bullshite…

3. Given all the we are the world bullshite the press already spews and their inability to simply report the news - instead of trying to slant it to what they think it should be.... you guessed it, starts smelling a little like bullshite again...

This may have very well been a construction accident but since we are always told by the government and the press to "wait for the evidence" before jumping to conclusions... Why were they in such a hurry to jump to such conclusions as an accident?

Look, it very well may have been construction related, but if you don't give any sort of statement verifying how you can confirm it, then people assume you're lying or covering it up given that it's apparently very common in France when it comes to Muslim-related crimes. If this turns out to be a cover up, a hell of a lot more than ND is gonna burn.

How many acts of violence have been committed in France in recent years? Bus/car attacks. Nightclub shooting.

Now church vandalism/arson is running rampant, including several famous churches

It wouldn’t hurt for French investigators to look into nefarious motives instead of just immediately brushing them aside. Unless, of course, if they want these things to continue

If it was indeed construction related, they need to tell the public how they know that. Plain and simple

Imagine your neighborhood being hit by burglars. Houses being hit left and right over a stretch of a few months. You come home after work and walk in your house. The back door is wide open and everything has been moved. Do you immediately say ‘oh the maid was here earlier. That’s the reason’ and not even consider for a moment that maybe a burglar snuck in?

I also want to see the construction company admit guilt if it was indeed a construction accident.

There's just far too many nefarious coverups in Paris to make me accept their baseless accounts of how the fire started. The fact that this happened Easter week doesn't really help either.

Link to a story from January that was also quickly ruled an accident in Lyon

quote:

The university told AP construction work was the cause and the explosion was “accidental”. The university said multiple explosions occurred and had been “caused by renovation work.”

The French really blow at renovations.

I've never stated how I think the fire started because I don't know and neither do you. But I don't want you to get bogged down in things like facts. We know you hate that shite.

My money is one some mexican that hot wired a microwave to an old light fixture to heat up his burrito for lunch.

The best part is an hour into the fire when it's blazing out of control, officials released that they think it was due to construction

Yep, no details, just "it was construction related". Don't ask us how we know that, just believe us.

It's ironic that you'd rush to dismiss the accounts of French officials but not the accounts of people on this site.

I have never accepted any accounts of people on this site. To my knowledge, no one has posted any "accounts" as to what happened at ND. I also did not dismiss the official account. I simply questioned why they didn't include any information as to how they came to their conclusion. I know reading is tough. 6th grade is gonna be pretty hard on you next year.
