This I think probably eats at him the most. I stopped listening to him around 2017 when his TDS started to kick into overdrive. Before that, he would brag about Trump being his friend and a great guest of the show.
Anyway, he would shite on podcasting as a legit form of radio every chance he got. And Joe Rogan now has a way bigger audience and more influence than Stern currently has (I won't say ever because Stern was once dominant).

Yeah, he hates he knows he can no longer say he’s the “King of All Media”. As far as I’m aware, I think Howard has only gone on a single podcast, and it was to be Conan’s first guest on his podcast. On his book tour, apparently Joe gave him an invitation (and you don’t say no to Rogan when promoting a book since it’s estimated simply going on his show makes your book bounce sales by at least a million), but he refused and only went on Conan’s podcast.
