I do. Why wouldn't you want free movement of cheap, quality labor? If you're mad at the welfare state, be mad at the welfare state.

I don't support it. I'm Indian and my parents both had to work very hard to immigrate into the USA in '90. I don't feel as if it is fair to people like my father and millions of other hard-workers to break the law and then get rewarded for it. I honestly think we should deport everyone who illegally immigrated into the USA besides maybe children who were brought here against their will at a very young age. Not to mention that if we grant these illegal immigrants citizenship chances are at least some of the several million are going to end up dependent on the government. Let's face it, most illegal immigrants can't get very high paying jobs, so chances are revenue-wise, allowing them citizenship is going to be more a burden to our country's economic state instead of a solid source of revenue. Besides, they're already paying sales tax on stuff that they buy and it's not helping us that much.

Tell your dad his hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I have a lot of respect for immigrants who can succeed in two different countries. I feel fortunate to have never experienced that level of stress.

I don't know either what the answer to our immigration issue is but my initial thought would be to embrace them as pushing people to the fringe of society doesn't usually work out well for crime rates and such.
