That's specifically why you have special prosecutors, to remove the connective tissue between the President and DOJ proper from the investigation.

It was not for that. Specifically. It was for the DC case that did result in the indictment of trump and some others.

We need to scale back the power of random grand juries to do this sort of thing without any sort of oversight or probable cause. Remember, the grand jury phase is before an indictment is issued and probable cause has even been established for a crime. Sometimes these grand juries don't even result in an indictment, but they do result in lots of information. Subpoenaed.
