Oh you don’t like him?
He literally campaigns with, fraternizes with and seeks advance from the second most corrupt Governor in Louisiana history, Edwin Edwards.
Anyone who would seek a a close association with Edwin Edwards will never be a good public servant for Louisiana.
He's the political twin of Edwin Edwards.
quote:
-700k of Louisiana’s poor now have Medicaid
Congrats.
We can't afford that and especially so as long as economically bright people keep leaving Louisiana, It's going to rape our budget once the feds ease up their share of the burden.
This medicaid growth is not sustainable and never will be.
quote:
-He banned 1st Trimester Abortions
A republican would've done that as well.
It's a meaningless wedge issue for political survival in Louisiana. Meanwhile he has a pro abortionist running the DHH and takes money from national groups and organizations that advocates for abortion.

quote:
- Most money invested in higher education than any state in 4 years
He needs to be going the other way. We have too many 4 year colleges and 2 year Community colleges in Louisiana and that just does not make sense for a population of this state's size.
All that's doing is producing a glut of people with degrees looking for jobs with their degrees and the jobs are just not here at all.

but he won in one of the reddest states in the south.
Even with doing all he can to get black voters to the polls, winning by ten points more in Orleans parish than Obama did in 2008, and absolutely kicking arse in EBR, JBE still needed Eddie Rispone to run one of the most incompetent, tone deaf, inept and pathetic campaigns ever seen in this state's history.
JBE did a lot to help himself win but he also had very good fortune of running against terrible candidates that did everything they could to earn the loss.
quote:
You act like he’s Gavin Newson?
JBE literally prioritizes growth of government over the private sector. That's all he cares about. He thinks that government is the one that provides economic growth and jobs.
Yes. I do know for a fact that he's a leftist that was beyond lucky to run against terrible candidates.

This.
Why does JBE think he needs to insert himself into this? Yes, I know he went to LSU law and is the governor of this state but this event has nothing to do with him. He threatened to shut down LSU football despite the program doesn't need a single taxpayer cent as boosters not only fund it but every other sport the school has as well.
I'm not a fan of people that feel they have to ride the coattails of another's success. This moment was about one Joe Burrow, not some sleazy politician.

Huey Long.
That man is the most corrupt and worst Governor ever in Louisiana history. He is the one who completely institutionalized the corruption and grift that still plagues Louisiana in 2019 and beyond is the biggest reason this state is considered a banana republic.
Just research Huey Long and the deduct box. And the fact that we're still paying oil royalties to the Long family to this very day says it all.
And he's buried on the state capital grounds today under this. Now that's a statue I want to plant some C4 on and blow that son of a bitch to pieces.
And JBE idolizes Huey Long as well and even gave a rave speech about him. YouTube

Biggest grifter in American politics and I'm with you Sentrius. He is the worst governor in our nation's history. The man was nothing short of a dictator in this state.
This state is rich in natural resources and access to the largest river in the country. There is no reason why we should be where we're at. Long and his political machine set us back generations.

Holy shite, the guy was a dictator. Banana republic is accurate. Unrestrained power. Are the Longs still in influential positions?

I have no problem with JBE being there I have a problem with two politicians sitting on the front row waiting for Joe’s handshake as if they had an impact on Joe winning the Heisman like the rest of the people on the front row. JBE would have sat in the back and allowed someone like Lloyd Chushenberry to have that spot.

Our current Lt. Governor is basically a fatass version of Huey Long. If he somehow sneaks into the runoff for Governor in 2023, I will not support Nungesser. The democrat would have to be a confirmed child rapist for me to consider voting for him.
Fat Billy did nothing to support Ralph Abraham or Eddie Rispone in 2019. I never saw him at any of the three Trump rallies and never gave an endorsement for either of them. Traitor RINO is what he is.
Hopefully Jeff Landry, Ralph Abraham, Garret Graves or whoever else gives Fat Billy the arse beating he deserves.

Sounds about right. He didn’t see present at any events I watched on YouTube. Seems he just wanted his cushy Lt Gov job for the paycheck.

One of the rumors going around is that JBE promised Fat Billy to clear the democrat field for Governor in 2023 if Fat Billy acts as his complete toady or at least does nothing to help conservatives get elected and does nothing to help enact conservative policy and legislation for all 8 years.
If that's true and that's a big if, Fat Billy is an even bigger piece of shite.
I bet POTUS was cringing at this pathetic stunt from Fat Billy.

Sorta cherry picked by that specific quarter. Since JBE took over, LA has the 12th largest growth by GDP. 14th if you exclude Government Services.
If you look at GDP growth by year, JBE's rankings are:
2016 - 40
2017 - 6
2018- 8
2019 - 45
Wanna guess what industries helped lead LA to those high rankings they're taking credit for?...
Mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction and Non Durable Manufacturing (AKA oil, chemical plant expansions and LNG facilities)
So an industry JBE tried to kill and another that he had little influence over despite giving them ITEP headaches.

Maybe by that cherry picked quarterly report but not through this term. From Q1'16-Q2'19, LA lags behind the US in personal income growth.

I have no idea why JBE would be there and think it's strange and unnecessary, but I am legitimately curious why people have such a problem with his use of tax payer money for security detail for events like this and the SEC Championship, but the same people have no issue with the president spending tax payer dollars to go to the LSU Alabama game or on his golf outings.
It really is that simple.

Which Republican governor threatened to cancel LSU football to jam a tax increase through? Please provide a link.
frick that turtle looking hypocrite. He and his lapdog had no business being there.

That’s more than just a rumor. Fat Billy sold out his party for his own career. He’s a tubby version of Jay Dardenne

I know some won't like to hear this, but Coach O was a big supporter of JBE. Even produced a fancy video of JBE playing football at an LSU practice and introduced the governor at some events.
