quote:All I'm saying is, wouldn't you want a voice in your employment if you were a federal employee? I do not feel sympathy for their struggle because they are well taken care of, but that still does not mean they do not have the right to organize.
cant even acknowledge the issues with FedGov employee unions and the broader implications with that "negotiating" dynamic.

The thread is about gov employees and federal employee unions.

What the frick is a voice? They want unilateral collective bargaining with no "ownership" even at the table and zero market forces in play. If the agreement fricks over the taxpayers what are we going to do? Go do business with a competing government?

Get back to me when the federal employee union puts us in a $36 trillion hole.

Lol those unions are part of that hole.

A federal appeals court on Friday sided with the Trump administration, lifting a temporary block on a March executive order that prevented government workers from union bargaining.
This pleases me immensely. My employer have an employee who works FT at the IRS and work evenings/weekends at my company. She is doing it for the generous benefits that are offered even for PTers. She brags all the time about her gov perks. She has been WFH since COVID and just recently started going back to work in office. That's how she was able to manage 2 jobs. She's also a steward in their union...
