I don’t think the left has thought through the repercussions.
On a personal level, there are people I no longer consider friends, because their political views have become so hostile to my way of life, that it’s intolerable. I’m not going to announce it to them, but I have cut them out of my life.
We these bans, and with they way being a conservative, especially a southern conservative, is considered a sin, they’re forcing us to make a choice. Either we bend, or we separate.
And so we will see a hardening or society, where it is impossible to have friends with different political views.
This will lead to increasing radicalization, on both sides. And if this continues, you’ll see increasing physical segregation, where people choose to live in areas that reflect their politics.
