Sounds like a lot of idiots there. So glad I left that state many many years ago. Except maybe Huntsville, I could not live there anymore.
Was just back visiting my hometown of Huntsville last weekend... but Fairhope is pretty damn awesome... and Gulf Shores as well. Fort Payne area is pretty nice too.

State lobbyists wanting state largesse funneled back to them put her in office... same as they do everywhere. Our political system is a fraud machine that gives zero fricks for its citizenry. Kay, like many of the big republicans of her era, was a democrat until it became politically expedient to switch. Bunch of vermin, all of them.

Voters in Alabama make their voting decisions based on slick campaign ads, and who talks the best game. They are much too involved in football, mud-riding and hunting to pay attention to political matters.
