Not really. Extradition is normally fairly routine.

Really?

I remember a time when Some Northern states wouldn't extradite accused murders under the false perception that they wouldn't get a fair trial in Southern states.

You should know that before spouting out a blanket statement...

I can't confirm or deny what you state.

Regardless, the guy was an idiot for charging an armed man and pump faking a surrender. He is lucky he only lost 90% of his bicep.

And you foresee a similar concern as to relations between Illinois and Wisconsin?

OK

How very unfortunate too. Young man was almost murdered in cold blood and defended himself.

100% agreement here.

But that has zero relevance to your original “gotcha” attempt.

I'm not a defense attorney but then neither are you correct?

Now, you might be able to take on a case such as this but, have you ever tried a criminal case?

Your blanket statement as given is a a little schetchy as given under the serious nature of the circumstance.

I think now you might be able to discern this small point and apologize to the room?

You haven't provided any proof of your assertion. I simply stated I couldn't confirm or deny it.

There is no gotcha.

The man who got his arm blown apart is guilty of aggravated battery of Kyle while using a firearm as part of his attack. He should be in jail and we all know it. Just because he ended up in the hospital, and Kyle didn't, does not mean his attack on Kyle was justified or legal.

You lawyers are a special (despicable) breed...

Good Lord.

The matter was discussed in detail weeks ag, with links and pictures of the relevant cout documents. I see no reason to re-invent the wheel with every post.

No. The arse never touched Rittenhouse, so there is no battery. As to criminal assault, I suggest you google Wisconsin statutes. They are quite clear.

AggieHank you are as biased as the Kenosha DA.

You can't charge someone and draw a weapon on them in close quarters. That is against the law regardless if physical contact was made or not.

You're being argumentative just for the sake of it.

And yes, , my assertion is the Kenosha DA who is a Democrat is not handling those charges properly.

Okay Hank,

You obviously are giving opinionated views outside the area of law you practice.

The blanket statement you gave is representative of this.

That's fine but many people in here 'were under the assumption that you brought bonafide input.

Your takes are interesting and definitely point out some "out of the box" thoughts but, in the end that's it.

No problem, or furthermore comments from me here are necessary.

Honestly the cops and legal system in So Wisconsin are more MAGA than they are in northern IL.

This isn’t necessarily bad for Kyle.

Did I say otherwise? No. I responded to someone saying that he was guilty of “aggravated battery” (whatever that may be, because I do not think any such crime exists under Wisconsin law).

I agree.

I have said repeatedly that I would not have brought the homicide charges against the kid if I were the DA. It seems beyond reasonable disagreement that his actions were excused/justified/privileged as self-defense.

How has he not been able to get out on bail with the high-powered representation volunteering on his case?

I'm wondering if they're allowing him to stay in for his own safety at this point? Does anyone have any insight?
they were contesting extradition. You can't even have a bail hearing until that process is done
