That covers all areas including Europe,N Africa,Asia,ME and homefront?
Not sure if you've followed the thread but under my plan we'd have a very large and well trained army and national guard that could be spooled up if needed.

Keep in mind, I'm speaking of the Marine Corps budget specifically.
At the end of WWII we had close to 500,000 active, combat ready marines. So thats what you want to go with currently?Wow,you sure?
Exactly how much do you want the defense budget to be?
Enough for me

There's a large gap between 185k or whatever it is now, and 500k. The answer is likely somewhere in between.

I'm OK with it being trimmed in total, as long as they give the Marine Corps more than they get now.

Wait, what?I thought you wanted "more than we've ever had before"Now we're somewhere in between 185k or 500k or somewhere in between"Sounds very precise
Ok,so now you and want to increase military ready Marines to 500k Marines or maybe 185k or "
"Somewhere in between" and
your buddy Geaux wants the Navy to have 100% operational aircraft (up from about 51%)?
What exactly are we gonna
do to get the Navy up to 100%.New F-18's/35's?More money on upkeep?More aircraft?

I was talking about the budget, smart guy. Here you go...

What exactly is a "proper budget" of GDP or historic % of the budget?
More than we've ever had before.

Oh I willl be the first to admit, I often wonder how different my life would have been if I had become a Marine. Much respect to the Corps. But I am still glad after thirty plus years that I am a Soldier.

You can't support wars in Iraq, Libya, and Syria and then want to spend less on the military.

No you are not
I am not even sure I could have passed boot camp back in 1981. But I graduated Fort Benning so it is all good.

Didn't "frick up" anything..You're the one who wants spend more on the Marine Corps in terms of GDP or % of the budget than ever before and the numbers of personnel reflect what you want to spend but now you want "somewhere between 185 and 500k"in terms personnel.Little bit of a difference

Here is where you fricked up. Spend some time on this. I want you to get this on your own. Take your time and ask questions as needed.
