We bought some land in SW Texas, near Big Bend. Things might get interesting down there.

I don’t want us to train Mexican special forces, they’ll probably end up contracted out to the cartels.

My thoughts exactly. How many of the Mexican marines are on the cartels’ payroll and will go tell the cartels everything they learn from our special forces? I expect training Mexican troops will be about as effective as the training we did in Afghanistan and Iraq. If we want the cartels dead, we will have to kill them ourselves. Mexico will not do it for us.
