What purpose was the tweet??? None of those three will get 1% of the vote. Why insult them and ESPECIALLY why even mention the Appalachian Trail incident? Should Sanford tweet back "Marla Maples"??? You say that it was about him disappearing as if you know. The man cannot resist insulting someone as soon as it comes to his mind. We will never know what deals have not happened because of Trump's tweets and insults over the years.
You don't have to keep digging this defensive hole for the man. You can support his policies but it makes you look small to contort yourself in justification of such classless acts.

Did you per chance listen to the new Bannon Interview? He has a much better grasp than I do. He loves and respects the Chinese People, as I do. They are an old bunch...seen hard times, and remain.
I know little about Economics...but I knew that those cheap Walmart goodies were going to cost Americans their jobs. The plain folk, many of whom are now on drugs. The count on the smart folk to look out for their welfare; that's what the term 'Public Servant' means, and that is their job.
Intellect tells us that Free Markets are fair, and efficient, and that pressure to win in an honest competition ends up as a win for all. And re the Chinese...it did. They won. They are part of the Human Family, and they were raised out of poverty. As soon as I saw that Doc with all those young girls going off to live in a dorm with thousands of other girls, working putting those small computer parts together all day, and sending their money back to their poor Family...I was impressed, heartened...and perplexed as to a suitable resolution to what I knew was coming.
I want to embrace and work with the Chinese People and their Collectivist Government. Re those 3 issues in your query to me, the main one is the Idea of Intellectual Property. It's the "you didn't build that" thing...the idea that one person who is freed up to a degree that they can employ their natural (Chinese don't believe in God-given talent; neither do lots of Americans) and random gifts to imagine in invent new and powerful tech. Or Systems. Or whatever.
For me, though I believe that a person's genetic talents are the result of God ordained and just pre-destination (at birth), I also am forced by good conscience and practical survival to further believe in the Gospel of God's Son. Such being to extend love beyond my Family and friends, and into the whole Human Family. I further believe that as Humanity gains great power (AI, Genetic Engineering at the fore), that if Humanity negates to commit to Jesus Gospel of Universal Love - and the co-operation therein - that we will likely get the Fermi Paradox/"Great Filter" treatment...pretty soon. It only takes a handful of smart and powerful people with bucks, to create a Flu virus that could do the damage of an asteroid.
I think given our seemingly polar (God/Individual Rights v Nature/Collective Rights) Ideological and MORAL based conflict, we should all step back from the cliff, our hard stances, and began talks, from the First Premise of Love. And the survivability therein.
I know. Not economics. But Economics is a means to and end. And that end is the prosperity of Humanity. How personal affluence is decided, is beyond my wisdom. For me, it's Spiritual. And Jesus said that the "least shall be first". So I guess I'm not the one to answer how/what metric affluence will be rewarded.
Hope you will take the 'Bannon' challenge. Know your enemy well, if you believe they have weakness and want to defeat them. For whatever reason. Selfish or Altruistic.
