The two most important things said were at the beginning of his speech.
1) He is closing the investigation
2) He is resigning from the Justice Department
The rest is just open-ended statements and subtle jabs.

Look for Bob Mueller to "commit suicide" in the coming days. Can't have him testifying before Congress anymore.

and that was all a stupid show. Just like this is a stupid show.
Going after Presidents for process crimes is stupid when the underlying crimes (if any) were not proven. It's just a flex by the House, now and then.
On the other hand, Presidents should know this is the way it works.
ETA -- I am not talking about FISA abuse here. That's a different matter.

It's all in the Mueller report. When Trump leaves office, assuming it's still within the legal time limitation, a federal prosecutor will use this as a guide for a prosecution decision.

quote:i never said this. i said at no point has he definitively stated trump is guilty and he has had every opportunity to do so. moreover, he agreed with barr's summary. moreover, you didn't answer the question. go figure
If Mueller's opinion on the matter doesn't matter

There is a new thread where NBC went to the Mueller office and the SC stated he did not contradict Barr.
"He [Mueller] did not contradict. We went back to the Special Counsel’s Office today and said, “Did you contradict what the Attorney General said when he said that ‘if it had not been for that opinion, you would have charged’?” NBC News' Julia Ainsley said on MSNBC.
"And they said, 'We’re not contradicting, but we’re providing more context that' — It’s not even point. They didn’t even make a decision because they didn’t look at this like a prosecution. They didn’t walk down that road because they stopped because of this opinion,"

which of course highlights mueller's duplicity. either barr was accurate or trump is guilty. if barr is accurate, there is no need to make any statements about the possibility of obstruction. he's talking out of both sides of his mouth which should make any reasonable person question his motives. why don't any libs here acknowledge the political makeup of the sc team?
