Except you posted no links.

How many frickING times have I watched NOLA news on a young kid that was being sought for murder 1.

And time, after time, after m'fing TIME! the kid has umpteen court appearances for minor shite, marijuana, skipping school, whatever.... and he's been coddled, processed...but never once, not once did he get jail time.

AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN!! Out of no freaking where....we got another dead body on the streets of NOLA. And all we hear from the news for the next week is his mother and family crying that he was a good boy and to turn himself in.

This probably has more to do with the plant being illegal in the first place, forcing otherwise law abiding citizens to become criminals and removing dispute-settlement systems such as courts.

Two people get in a disagreement and boom, another dead human at the hands of the war on drugs.

If he and others are really so concerned about someone being sent to federal prison for life for possessing just one joint of pot why haven't they petitioned Oduma to pardon that person?

I'm telling you that what is illegal shouldn't be illegal.

I'm saying that if it were legal the situations described would have not ended in another dead person from the drug war.

I challenged your pre-conceived notions and now I'm stupid to you?

So all drugs should be legal.

At the end of the day the govt is responsible for the welfare of the prisoners.

Since convicted criminals often are required to pay restitution to their victims, I consider making prisoners pay for their own food and medical care as just requiring them to pay restitution to the taxpayers who are also being victimized by them because the taxpayers have to foot the bill for their incarceration.

Nice straw man,

I never said every drug ever should be legal, currently marijuana being illegal is a huge concern due the costs of enforcement and the amount of otherwise innocent, nonviolent offenders that get permanent black marks on their record, ruining their lives.

And gee, don't forget that the crime they were convicted for was the only time they ever committed a crime.

Weed and its accessories mostly. Because they will be legal, everyone will keep an eye on them.

If they are an adult, now they can buy weed legally then sell it for a profit to underage children who can't buy weed legally.
