Looks like your buddy belongs to the 5th Security Forces Assistance Brigade.

The DRAMA is strong with this one. And your statement is nowhere near truthful.

Good research. He is in Colorado Springs. Does that make sense?
Actually reading that wiki a bit more he has been deployed to Poland in this unit not the pacific. Could they have stood up two separate units on the same day?
I obviously need to ask him more about what the frick he does

Dude show him this video. I'm interested if he has any kind of insight.

Then he's in the 4th, not the 5th. All five wear that same patch, though.

Nothing about it seems like an official Army recruitment video.

The Twitter account seems legit.
If it’s all fake then someone poured a ton of money into that video.

The 4th POG was constituted 7 November 1967 in the Regular Army as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Psychological Operations Group. Originally activated 1 December 1967 in Vietnam, it was inactivated 2 October 1971 at Fort Lewis, Washington, and reactivated 13 September 1972 at Fort Bragg.
4th POG Wiki
The patch on the Fort Hood sign is that of the 3rd SFAB.
4th and 8th POG (new one, I was not aware of them) are (apparently) assigned to 1st SF Command. I would expect that they wear the patch commonly associated with Green Berets. When I was last assigned to Fort Bragg the 4th POG wore the USASOC patch.

A Tigerdroppings poster would already know everything there is to know. About everything. You have the answer in you already.

Later
