Once again.

Someone in another thread said he didn't play concerts in the US because he didn't want ICE to arrest his fans. No clue if that's true, but it would certainly make him less likely to be well known here.

That's clearly the current debate across the country.
You also didn't confirm or deny what I inquired about. If he does his work out of the country, this would be like getting incredulous that an average American sports enthusiast couldn't name the most popular actor in Bollywood. It shouldn't stretch the mind to understand this dude is like the soccer of the music industry. Plenty Americans couldn't name an international soccer star.

I disagree.
Either way, it's extremely apparent that he is not as known here as you believe. Have you ever had to argue to convince people of something that generally should be very apparent? You think millions of people had to be convinced that Elvis was popular? Your overestimation of his popularity is self evident in your need to tell everyone.

What proof would you need to agree that he is massive here?

My sincere apologies. The “bigot” comment should have been my cue: yet I have seen so many similar comments the last few days, I just assumed it wasn’t tongue-in-cheek.
I now assume you are jesting with your comment about drones, yet I sometimes suspect there are indeed bots attempting to steer conversations on forums such as this. And here I mean AI bots — there is no question plenty of organic bots here.
University of Zurich’s unauthorized AI experiment on Reddit sparks controversy…
Researchers from the University of Zurich conducted an unauthorized study on the subreddit r/changemyview, aiming to explore the persuasive capabilities of AI by posting over 1,700 comments with AI-powered bots, leading to ethical concerns.
Study's finding.
The study revealed that AI-generated comments were six times more persuasive than human responses, raising questions about the influence of AI in debate and discussion settings.
Community reaction.
Subreddit moderators condemned the experiment as a breach of trust, arguing that users expect genuine interaction, not experimental manipulation, and they filed a complaint with the University of Zurich.

Millions of people not saying they never heard of him would seem like a solid start.
Since you refused to correct my original post, I assumed that meant it was probably true. I looked. He hasn't performed in America since 2024, and mostly sings in Spanish. Why can't you wrap your head around the idea that non-Spanish speaking Americans may never even come across his stuff even incidentally?

They gonna learn today, just like last year who Kendrick Lamar is.
Posted on 2/8/26 at 6:20 pm to PurpleCrush
It would probably surprise many on this board that most if not all the guys interviewed in the OP likely knew who Kendrick Lamar was before his superbowl show.

Also when did the discussion that I was a part of segregate Americans by what language they speak?

You could be its leader. SLO Bunny Pro.

No, it's not stupid to expect average people to know the most famous singer in the world. I find it incredibly stupid to not think more people knowing someone made them more known.

Why are you posting like Slow today? Are you liquored up? What the frick are you trying to say here?

Really? Yes I would be surprised if people on this board knew him prior.
Anyway, there are many here today that will know Bad Bunny's music after halftime.

I’m saying it’s not fair for you to spring on me that this whole time you were just talking about English speaking Americans
I still think I’m right even if we’re just talking about white and black people, though. I think you’re underestimating how many normal white and black and young people know and like Bad Bunny. I think he’s way more popular in the U.S. than you do.

“Hey, this guy is massive in the United States.”
“Yeah well not with English speaking people.”
1. I think he is popular with English speaking people.
2. If we’re debating the validity of choosing him, why would it matter if it’s mostly Spanish only types who know him if they’re still Americans?
