What if he was a true believer? Based on his age, he came from a generation* that was throughly indoctrinated into the belief that the primary concern of the public health apparatus in the United States was promoting best practices and operated largely free of profit margins and/or ideological considerations. Many of us now know that this was a damnable lie.



*NOTE BENE: I cast stones as none but myself as I too once was deluded by the fantasy that this nation’s Pharmacological/Medical Industrial Complex was a benign entity.
