We had an influx of "conservative republicans" join up for Ron...till he quit.

It makes them angry that nothing actionable has resulted from their influence. They cannot deal with our severe Autism.

True for some, but don’t kid yourself. Even if Ron were the nominee, our resident “volume posters”, aka the “real conservatives” would still be here doing the same thing, just like they’ve always done.

s a prime example of this. A so called ‘conservative libertarian’ who rarely finds fault with Biden and democrats and sucks big government lawfare dick.
The SFP hate here is strange.
1) he’s not an echo chamber kind of guy. There’s nothing intellectually stimulating about saying “Biden sucks” to a bunch of people who already understand that Biden sucks. He tries too hard to be a contrarian sometimes but he’s not looking for approval
2) You already know what angle he’s coming from, and he’s generally consistent in that regard

So what everyone should definitely do is align themselves with the most popular political party.

Because most people out there in the country are really, really smart about politics and therefore you can tell who is likely to be right about politics by following the crowd. The political approach with the most adherents, that's the one most likely to have the right answers!

Especially since our political intelligence as a country continues to improve over time.

Pretty much every societal push showing any progress on the right - Texas and immigration, beating back DEI in schools and board rooms, discrediting CRT, undermining trans ideology in K-12 - is because of people like DeSantis and Abbott and Rufo and has nothing at all to do with the frog meme autist kids

He causes a lot of it. He plays the opposition too much while pretending he's not.

Many of the positions he espouses here are far from "Libertarian" and he totes water for tOffical Ukraine narrative.

The irony in this situation is pretty comical.

They've created this self-perception that they're the free and independent thinkers...as long as they conform to the group dynamic entirely.

Then they wonder why they're called NPCs, a cult, part of an echo chamber, etc., while they flail about irrationally towards anyone who doesn't adhere to their NPC standards.

To make this more specific to this thread, demanding a constant flow of shouting "BIDEN SUCKS" in various forms is seen as intelligent and free thinking, and anyone who sees the repetitiveness and banality in engaging in this behavior is suspect. An outsider, attacking their in/out group dynamic.

There is a similar flaw in self-perception surrounding emotional thinking, that can best be seen in the thread this morning "How/why has liberalism/leftism been so successful at infiltrating the mind of white women", filled with a bunch of dudes who are prone to rage posting and posting due to fear response, claiming liberalism is the side that requires emotional thinking.

Rog, most people confuse objective analysis of an issue/situation with giving a personal opinion on a preferred policy within the discussed paradigm. This is in large part due to the in/out dynamic and trying to make every issue partisan in some way.

Like Ukraine, causing people, like you just did, to speak in untruths.

Rog, you do understand that demanding adherence to a partisan-based (whether you realize it or not) stance is exactly what you're trying to rail against me for allegedly doing, right?

It's like an old AA saying my dad taught me: when you point a finger at someone, there are 3 fingers pointing right back at you.

You go much further, which is exactly how you pose it and you do it on purpose.

If you were more honest about your beliefs, this wouldnt be an issue.

You seem afraid to make personal declarations here. This is an opinion board btw.

I state them loud and clear on important issues.

Too much of this hyper-partisan bullshite that started amplifying during the Obama admin has (intentionally) created a hyper focus on issues that aren't as severe or dramatic as they're promoted (which is done to induce fear and emotional responses).

Ukraine is actually a great example of this. What we've sent to Ukraine is promoted within one echo chamber as amounts that will bankrupt our country. It's laughable and diverts attention away from programs that ACTUALLY may bankrupt our country.

What we've sent to Ukraine (including the value of the equipment that has no bearing on our spending) is like one month of Social Security spending.

And I'm very, very clear on my position about Social Security needing to be gutted.
